About this site

This site is primarily for English speaking people to gain sufficient knowledge of the German language to enable travel through German speaking countries and to at least have the ability to order a coffee or a train or bus ticket. The intention is not to teach you to speak German as a German would learn. It is also the intention of the site to assist German speaking people to learn a little English - but as spoken by Australians - so they too can travel through Australia and maybe order a hamburger or schooner of beer.

It is also not the intention to go into great depth of the how's and why's of the reasons you should speak the language one way or another. However, there are some rules of speaking German that at least must be attempted to be adhered to. See here ....

If you are having difficulty following along learning German from this site, then we highly recommend Rocket Languages to painlessly learn the language.

Another purpose is to inform you of the two country's customs, interesting things, places to visit and cultural events to attend.
